At RASU we aim to offer professional research support and advisory services based on sound scientific and strategic business foundations. We are committed to assist postgraduate students and researchers with the design of their research projects, implementation, analysis and interpretation of their data.

Our Vision

To enhance individual research skills and improve the throughput rate of postgraduate students in South Africa by offering professional research services and advice at an affordable rate. In addition, our vision is to improve the quality of public and private sector research outputs.

Our Mission

To provide a professional, outcomes-based research and statistical consultation service to postgraduate students as well as public and private sector institutions in respect of quantitative research (research methodology, questionnaire design and statistical analysis) as well as qualitative research (transcription, coding and thematic analysis) and professional technical and language editing and formatting services.

Meet the Team

(MCom Econometrics)

Jacolize Meiring is a researcher with a keen interest in economic research, data analysis and econometric modelling. She has a broad understanding of statistical and econometric concepts and models and a passion to translate complex information and analysis to an understandable format. Her professional career and experience include research, academic writing, data analysis, consulting and training roles.

Her specialities include economic research, statistical modelling, econometric modelling, data analysis and visualisation.


Joshua Kembo is a Demographer and Epidemiologist. He is a Professional Statistician and Research and Evaluation scientist with 26 years’ experience in training of post-graduate students and professionals in population studies, epidemiology, statistical methods, design of both quantitative and qualitative research, analysis of data and writing of research reports and academic papers. He holds expertise in the application of advanced multivariate statistical methods to survey and census data. He is currently supervising two doctoral students in Epidemiology and Populations Studies. He has keen interest in mentoring postgraduate students in publication of manuscripts in scientific journals.


Pamela de Jongh has more than 25 years administrative experience. This includes 18 years of service as a Senior Research Coordinator and Departmental Secretary at the Bureau of Market Research. She has good organizational, written and verbal communication skills and strong knowledge of standard office procedure.

She recently joined the RASU team and can assist with all enquiries in a diligent and professional manner. All information received from students and clients will be handled confidentially.
