Personal income estimates for South Africa, 2015-2019 by Prof C.J. van Aardt, A Risenga and J Meiring (2020)

This report presents revised personal income estimates for South Africa of greatest likelihood for the period 2015 to 2019 and scenario analyses for 2020. Stating different scenarios, the report presents estimated figures of the impact of the COVID-19 lockdown on the personal incomes of the South African adult population for 2020. To enrich the analyses, the research applies segmented personal income analyses for selected cohorts, including province, age group, gender, educational attainment, employment status, main source of income, and income group.
