This report presents socioeconomic, demographic and attitudinal profiles of low, medium and high personal income groups of the adult population of South Africa.  The study explored how adult consumers arrange their lives within the retail trade, financial, media and communication environments.  The report captures adult consumers’ impressions regarding advertising efficiency, value of education, community living and shopping pleasure, financial and media habits and general perceptions of life.  The findings offer valuable opportunities for market segmentation, product positioning, packaging, targeted marketing communication and media strategies.
