The levels of self-reported hunger among youth-headed households in South Africa by J. Kembo (2015)

This report presents the high levels of self-reported hunger among youth-headed households in South Africa.  A trend analysis was conducted with a focus on provincial, social and demographic variations to inform more targeted interventions to mitigate food insecurity among youth-headed households.  The results are expected to improve the understanding of hunger experienced among youth-headed households, thereby forming a foundation and cornerstone upon which policies and programmes to mitigate self-reported hunger among youth-headed households can be propagated and implemented.
