Drug use and alcohol consumption among secondary school learners in Gauteng, 2014 (Technical Report) by A. Basson and D.H. Tustin (2015)

This report by the Youth Research Unit presents the research findings of a drug and alcohol consumption study among 1 693 secondary school learners in Gauteng in 2014.  Besides targeting similar research goals as set in 2012, the 2014 study served as a longitudinal study aimed to measure changed drug and alcohol consumption behaviour patterns among secondary school learners since the 2012 baseline study.  The 2014 research findings related to substance abuse among grade 8 to 12 secondary learners in the Gauteng Province are presented together with a comparative analysis with the 2012 study.
