This report Youth Research Unit presents the qualitative insights on child sex offenders and showcases the vulnerability of the youth in South Africa. South Africa is confronted with the challenge of combatting child trafficking which is currently high on South Africa’s public agenda. The report presents clear commitments towards protecting children from violence, exploitation and abuse, especially sexual abuse and exploitation. Sexual violence against children is a gross violation of children’s rights, and yet it is a global reality across all countries and social groups.
